Carbon Dioxide Chain Scrubber
Abstract The development of a prototype rotary drum scrubber for removing carbon dioxide (CO) from controlled atmosphere (CA) fruit storages is described. The experimental scrubber is capable of removing carbon dioxide from the storage environment without introducing oxygen, which is a problem with most present commercial CO scrubbers.

Activated Carbon
Activated carbon scrubbers are very effective pollutant filters/scrubbers in both air phase and liquid phase applications. But, when the activated carbon becomes saturated with the pollutants the effectiveness of the scrubbers falls off rapidly until catastrophic failure occurs.

Greg Lowry, Research Project-Carbon Sequestration
Research on industrial carbon management has focused on capturing CO 2 from large centralized facilities such as electric power plants because of the higher CO 2 concentrations emitted from these sources. Recent published studies by this team have demonstrated that it is possible to capture CO 2 directly from the ambient air.

scrubber
Companies searching for a cost-effective air scrubber alternative should look at various technologies when exploring biofiltration. Operating cost is the key factor that may support feasibility of biofiltration vis-à-vis other scrubber technologies, even when capital costs and documents may favor other technologies or appear to show no clear choice.
